Fostering contribution
If the municipality assumes care and control of a child, the municipality may claim a fostering contribution from the parents, provided they are able to pay and it is reasonable given the circumstances. The municipality may also apply for a fostering contribution if the child is place in care outside the home with the parents’ consent, without the municipality formally assuming care and control.
