What employers should knowFor employers

Employee is expecting a child

It is important that you know what you, as an employer, must do if one of your employees is expecting a child.

Income report must be sendt on time

Employers must submit digital income reports when the employee is claiming  parental benefit or pregnancy benefit.

Remember that information about the employee’s income must be sent to Nav digitally within the prescribed deadline.

If submission of the income reports is delayed, the payment from Nav to the individual employee or employer may be delayed.

Read about calculation rules for parental benefit and pregnancy benefit.

When an employee is going to have leave in connection with the birth or adoption

There is more information at Altinn.no on employers’ duties when an employee is going to have leave in connection with the birth or adoption of a child.

You will also find information about pregnancy benefit, which may be relevant for a pregnant employee if the work or conditions at the workplace entail a risk of harm to the unborn child.

Refunds from Nav to the employer

Nav uses the bank account number you have registered at altinn.no when we reimburse sickness benefit, parental benefit, benefits in the event of a child's illness, attendance allowance, care benefit, training allowance and grants for summer jobs.

You can change the bank account number at altinn.no.
