Den britiske ambassaden signerte 7. februar IA-avtale som den første ambassaden i Norge. Ambassadør Jane Owen er svært interessert i denne norske modellen.
– Den britiske ambassadøren Jane Owen viser stor interesse for IA-avtalen og dens innhold, sier rådgiver Sigmund Hauge ved NAV Arbeidslivssenter Oslo som er kontaktperson for ambassaden. Han forteller videre at ambassadøren viser stor interesse og nysjerrighet angående tillitsforholdene mellom arbeidsgiver og ansatte, som for eksempel egenmeldingsordningen.
Ambassaden var interessert i dokumentasjon vedrørende IA-arbeidet, og har i den anledning fått utlevert SINTEF-rapporten om IA-evalueringen. Ambassaden har nå startet arbeidet med å utarbeide handlingsplan med resultat- og aktivitetsmål for IA-arbeidet.

Earlier this week, the British Ambassador Jane Owen signed NAV’s Inkluderende Arbeidsliv (IA) initiative.
– We join a long list of organisations throughout Norway that are committed to the Norwegian Government’s goal of preventing and reducing absence from work due to illness, strengthening attendance at work and improving the working environment as well as averting exclusion and withdrawal from working life.
The British Embassy undertakes to cooperate with staff to prevent and reduce sick leave to promote inclusion, and to improve the working environment. Further aims are to facilitate the employment of people with reduced functional ability and the continued employment of older employees.
– I think this is a great initiative that everyone benefits from, and I’m really glad we’ve taken the step to sign up. It shows that we’re committed to making the Embassy a more inclusive workplace, and I know that NAV are equally committed to helping us succeed, Head of Corporate Services, Andrew Streeton, said.
