The Qualification Programme is an offer of training and vocational training for those who have received social assistance for a long time or are at risk of ending up in this situation. The programme is to provide the follow-up needed to gain work or another meaningful activity. It also provides the opportunity to clarify what other rights to an income you may have if you cannot participate in regular work.

What does the programme include?
Your Qualification Programme will be based on what you are able and want to do. You will plan your programme together with an advisor from your NAV office. It will primarily include:
If you need medical or other treatment, or guidance in areas of your life other than work, this can be included in your programme. Examples of this include financial advice or advice about your living situation, leisure time, sleeping problems, diet and physical exercise.
You will be responsible for following your plan together with your advisor from the NAV office.

The Qualification Programme can be provided for a period of up to one year. This can be extended by one year following a new assessment or longer if necessary.
